Yvonne Madison Colmore departed this life Sunday, August 20, 2023, at Lynchburg General Hospital. Born in Washington, DC on October 11, 1942, she was the daughter of the late George W. Madison and Bernice Ferguson Madison. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of forty-nine years, Edward E. Colmore, Sr.; one daughter, Deborah R. Tyree; and one son, Tyrone E. Colmore, Sr.

Yvonne was a loving mother and wife. She attended Campbell County Schools. She enjoyed gardening and volunteering. She was a faithful volunteer at the Veggie Spot and at the Daily Bread. She was a member of Word of Life Deliverance Ministry and a former member of Mount Carmel Baptist Church where she served faithfully on the Hospitality Team and as an honorary member of the Senior Missionaries Ministry.

Yvonne is survived by four children, Edward Colmore, Jr. (Monica), Valerie Colmore and George Colmore of Lynchburg, VA, and Linda Colmore Hadnot (Ronald) of Arlington, TX; ten grandchildren, Curtis, Jr., Temisha, Sherica, Gregory, Dominique, Tyrone, Jr., Voncea, Edward, III, Miyanna, and Leyonna; and nine great-grandchildren. She is also survived by one sister, Jean Cobbs; one brother, Earl Madison (Kitty) of Concord, VA; and a special companion, Demita Carter.
