On September 2, 2023, Yvonia Trent got her wings and went to walk with the angels. She was 53 years old.

Yvonia was a compassionate and spirited person whose passion was caring for others. She volunteered at Church in the kitchen, working with the kids, and always looked forward to helping with the yearly "Relay for Life" event. She did all this while caring for everyone surrounding her.

Yvonia was born in Appomattox, Virginia. She is survived by her two daughters, who made up the entirety of her world, Destine "Sha" Evans (Kevin) and Whitney Robertson (Delonta); and her two grandsons, Christian and Peyton. Yvonia loved cooking and volunteering to help wherever she could; her dream was to own a children's daycare. Besides her children, Yvonia is survived by her mother, Ruby L. Trent (late David Trent), brother, Darnell Trent, sister, Yolanda Jones (Tony), brother, Unitas Trent (Jeane), and sister, Mia Trent (Bruce Robertson); one niece; seven nephews; cousins; and other loving relatives and friends.

Yvonia accepted Christ at an early age and joined Jordan Baptist Church of Appomattox, Virginia where she served as a faithful member who truly loved the Lord.

Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.

A homegoing celebration will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, September 7, 2023, at Jordan Baptist Church, 11882 Stonewall Road, Appomattox, VA 24522. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Service of comfort rendered by Davis-Turner Funeral Service.
