On the morning of Saturday, September 14, 2013, the angel came quietly in his home and called Brother William Terry Tuning from the world of sin, sorrow, and pain to a place for eternal rest. William Terry Tuning was born in Superior, West Virginia to the late Collie and Elizabeth Musgrove Tuning on November 22, 1931.
He was married to the late Virginia P. Tuning to this union no children were born. He was preceded in death by two sisters and four brothers.
He leaves to cherish his memories, two brothers, Clarence R. Tuning (Martha), of Rocky Mount, VA; Earnest I. Tuning (Ruby), of Washington; four sisters, Victoria Washington and Rosetta Tillman, both of Brooklyn, New York, Emma E. Larry (Rodney B.) and Edith Davis (Joe) both of Roanoke; three sisters-in-law, Sadie W. Tuning, Dorothy Tuning of Rocky Mount and Creola Tuning , of Kernsville, NC and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends.
A funeral service will be held 11:30 AM Friday, September 20, 2013 at Morningside Baptist Church with Rev. Kirby Whitefield, officiating. The interment will be in the Franklin Memorial Gardens.
