William "Butch" Pendleton Johnson passed from this life to the next on December 25, 2009 at Virginia Baptist Hospital after a two year battle with cancer.
He was born on March 14, 1954 in Brooklyn, NY to the late Goodman Ford Pendleton and Catheline Mitchell.
He leaves to cherish his memories his wife of two years, Pawla; two sons, Damien Pendleton, of New York and Zachariah Timmons of the residence; his mother, Catheline ( William) Mitchell of Amherst; a mother-in-law, Flora A. Tweedy of Ruther Glenn, VA; on brother-in-law, Clarence (Kellie) Tweedy of Ruther Glen, VA; 9 aunts, 1 great aunt; 6 uncles; 1 niece and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Cecelia MacCallum and her staff at the Alan Person Regional Cancer Center and the nurses and staff on the oncology unit at Lynchburg General Hospital for their love and support and care given to Butch during his illness.
A celebration of life will be held 1:00 pm Thursday December 31, 2009 at Bolling Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Edward Jones, Sr. officiating.
