Mr. William E. Liggon of 288 Liggon Rd, Madison Heights, VA departed this life on Saturday November 27, 2021.  He was born May 13, 1926 in Madison Heights, VA the son of the late Pittman and Bertha Liggon.

Mr. Liggon retired from the Lynchburg Foundry with over 40 years of service.  He was a member of the Scott Zion Baptist Church of which he was devoted.  He was a member of the Brotherhood Club and always helped when someone needed it.  William Known as "Will" was preceded in death by three brothers, Robert W. Liggon, James and Jessie; and one sister, Florence Dane.

William is survived by his devoted wife, Frances; daughter, Sylvie Liggon Wilson and "Samuel" Wilson; one devoted grandson, David Clayton, Jr.; one great grandson; Daniel Clayton; father of son, David Clayton, Sr. two step daughters, and one step-son; eight step grandchildren; in addition to one brother, Wilson ( Margaret); two sisters-in-law, Jearlene Allen and Odell Wayne; a number of devoted nieces, nephews and friends and a care taker and devoted nephew, Wylace Liggon and Renea Megginson.

A homegoing celebration will be held 12PM Wednesday, December 01, 2021, at Scott Zion Baptist Church with the Rev. Gary Lee, Eulogist. The interment will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive family and friends one hour prior to the service. Service of comfort rendered by Davis-Turner Funeral Service.
