William Ray Booker, Sr. "Bill", 59, of Lynchburg and formerly of Appomattox passed away Monday, Feb. 1, 2010 at his residence. Bill as he was known was born January 3, 1951 to the late George Booker and Clarissa Smith Collins. He was preceded in death by one brother, Edward "Eddie" Thomas. Those left cherish his memories are two children, William R. Booker, Jr., of Sweet Port, LA and Donja D. Booker of Spout Springs, VA; one sister, Mary Booker, Montclair CA; seven brothers, Ted Collins, George Thomas, Ernest Thomas, David Thomas, Derek Collins, Larnell Collins and Nathaniel Collins and a host of aunts, uncle, nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
A celebrating of life will be held 2:00 PM Sunday at New Jerusalem Baptist Church, Appomattox with Rev. Dr. C.L. Gray officiating.
