On Saturday, May 3, 2025, God stopped by the Summit, Lynchburg, VA, to call home our brother, Wayne Morgan Dalton. Born January 27, 1956, Wayne was the son of the late Charlie Milton Dalton and Emma Morgan Dalton Yuille.

Wayne was raised in the city of Lynchburg, where he attended R.S. Payne and graduated from E.C. Glass High School. Wayne enjoyed playing football and received accolades for his skills. He went on to attend Livingston State College, Livingston, NC, on a football scholarship. Wayne was employed by General Electric and a member of the Army Reserve for a tenure.

Wayne was a faithful individual with a calm disposition. He believed in God and loved his family. He was a constant companion to his Momma and dedicated to her and her care as she was to him.

In addition to his parents, Wayne was preceded in death by a sister, Ella D. Craft, and stepfather, Robert D. Yuille. He leaves cherished precious memories with eight sisters, Sarah D. Campbell of Tampa, FL, Iva D. Peerman of Gladys, VA, Vivian D. Pringle of Halifax, VA, Constance D. Poindexter (Henry), Barbara Dalton, Irene Dalton of Lynchburg, VA, Kamonia D. Nesbit (Albert) of Fayetteville, NC, and Gwen D. Pannell (William) of Rustburg, VA; two brothers, Milton Dalton of Lynchburg, VA and Ashby Dalton of Washington, DC; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

A homegoing celebration will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, May 10, 2025, at Davis-Turner Funeral Service. Interment will be in the Mount Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery, Altavista, VA. Service of comfort rendered by Davis-Turner Funeral Service.
