Walter Louis "Timmy"
Robey, Jr.
Jul 12, 1954 — Aug 1, 2026
Walter, Jr., affectionately known as “Timmy,” passed peacefully on August 1, 2026, surrounded by his loved ones. Born July 12, 1954, he was the son of the late Walter Robey, Sr., and Clara Robey. He is survived by three children, Daytonya (Tyrone) Seymore, Pastor LaWanda Robey, and Walter Robey, III, whom he shared with his former wife, Diatanya Robey.
Walter cherished his children and loved them deeply. His love for them was unwavering, and he always wanted them to know how important they were to him. Nothing brought him greater pride than being their father.
Walter will be remembered for his loving heart, kind spirit, and playful sense of humor. He had a silly side that could make those around him smile, along with a little bit of “spice” that made his personality uniquely his own. He was a gentle giant with a loud bark, but no bite—a man whose tough exterior often hid a compassionate and caring heart. Those who knew him understood that beneath his gruffness was someone who deeply and cared sincerely for the people in his life.
Family meant everything to Walter. He treasured the time he spent with those he loved and valued the relationships that shaped his life. His love, laughter, and memorable personality will remain in the hearts of his family and friends for years to come.
Among those who will cherish his memory are his three sisters: Overseer Sarita Harris, Elder Deborah (Larry) Harvey), and Evangelist Patrice Jordan; and one brother, Godfrey Robey. In addition, he leaves to carry on his legacy several grandchildren: Da’chan, Tyree, Kyle, TayShaun, Kassan, Jaidon “Micah”, Devell, Drequan, Cynthia “Sierra”, Christian, Keenan, and Ethan. He also has four great-grandchildren, in addition to a loving circle of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and devoted friends.
A memorial service will be held at 12:00 PM on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at Davis-Turner Funeral Service located at 1016 Rivermont Ave, Lynchburg, VA 24504. Service of comfort entrusted to Davis-Turner Funeral Service.
