Mrs. Virginia Terry at age 75 formerly of Axton, Virginia went to meet her Lord on Monday, January 10, 2022 at her residence in Upper Marlboro, Maryland. Miss Virginia was a faithful and devoted member of The Sanctuary At kingdom Square in Upper Marlboro, Maryland where she was honored to serve as a valued member of the Hospitality Committee.  Virginia was a kind, caring, helping and inspirational person to all in whom she came in contact. Virginia was an extraordinary individual who is loved and greatly missed.

She was born at home in Axton, Virginia on August 29, 1946. She was the daughter of the late Oliver Martin and Izetta (Cunningham) Martin. She was also preceded in death by her husbands; the first, William Gwyn, the second, John Terry.  By her four brothers, George 'Tommy' Martin, Frank Martin, Oliver Bud Martin and Sydney Ray Martin. Also, two of her sisters, Rosezetta (Martin) Logan and Lois (Martin) Wilson.

She is survived by one sister, Annette (Martin) Carter of Lynchburg VA.  A sister in law, Sharron Terry of Midfield, Alabama. A brother in law, Carl (Margie) Ford of Glenarden, Maryland. Three stepchildren, John Anthony, Angela and Alex Terry. Dozens of nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbors and friends. Specifically endeared to her were her godchildren; Olivia 'Libby' Henderson, Corey Pulliam, Crystal Walker and Centhear Holloway.

Certainly, no memoriam would be complete without recognition of her most beloved family members; Jasmyn and Salathia Logan, Susan Frisby and Charles 'C.H.' Pulliam. She truly loved them dearly.

The family graciously thanks everyone for the cards, flowers and many encouraging and kind words on the departure of our dearly loved Virginia Terry.
