Virginia Daniel Davis, 99, of Madison Heights, VA peacefully departed this life at Lynchburg General Hospital on October 5, 2023. She was born August 26, 1924, to the late William, Sr. and Fannie Reid Daniel.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Davis; 2 brothers, David and William Daniel; and 5 sisters, Mary, Betty, Fannie, Doris, and Eva.

Virginia joined Mt. Sinai Baptist Church at an early age. She served as a deaconess, youth advisor, usher, and as a part of the hospitality ministry. She worked as a faithful member until the decline of her health.

Virginia graduated from Madison Heights High School.

She was married to Deacon Donald Davis. They built their home in Madison Heights where she lived as a loving, caring, and dedicated housewife. You would often see her in her yard planting flowers, which she loved dearly.

She had a love for all children although she never had any biological children of her own. She loved her church and church family. She served as a very faithful member.

She leaves to cherish her memories 2 nephews, Samuel Franklin of Florida, and Lawrence (Barbara) Otey, who served as one of her devoted caregivers. A much-loved niece, Shantelle Hodge of Raleigh, NC, whom she loved dearly, and a host of nieces and nephews.

A homegoing celebration will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, October 9, 2023, at Davis-Turner Funeral Service. Interment will be in the Mt. Sinai Baptist Church Cemetery. Service of comfort rendered by Davis-Turner Funeral Service.
