Virginia L. Barbour, 86, of passed away, July 12, 2014 at Cromwell Rehabilitation Center in Baltimore, MD. She was born January 2, 1928, in Pittsylvania County to the late Theodore R. Barbour and Susan Powell. She was raised by her step-mother the late Gertrude Elliott Barbour.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Lorenzo Chambers; brother, Theodore R. Barbour, Jr. and a brother-in-law, William Stanley.

Virginia leaves to cherish her memory four brothers, Elder Oberton B. Barbour (Vivian) of Desota, TX, Melvin D. Barbour (Evelyn), Aubrey L. Barbour, Sr. (Helen) and Robert C. Barbour (Janice), all of Lynchburg; sister three, Dorothy Stanley, of Lynchburg, Hattie Hicks, of Forest, VA and Josephine Johnson, of Reston, VA; a devoted niece, Virginia Williams, (Bobby), of Lynchburg and host of other relatives and friends.
