Ms. Veronica Lee Culpepper "Ronnie" departed this life and gained her wings on Tuesday, May 27, 2025. Her favorite saying was "God's got his hands on me".
Born in Lynchburg on May 16, 1955, she was the daughter of the late Mrs. Carrie Mae Culpepper Sorrells (William "June") and Mr. Willie Saunders ("Boogie"). In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Sallie Randolph Culpepper and Reuben Fleming Culpepper, and her paternal grandmother, Ms. Daisy Saunders. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Nina Culpepper Stone, and nephew, Derick M. "Chubb" Culpepper.
Veronica is survived by her loving devoted son and daughter-in-law, David Deshaun Culpepper and Kandi Gowen Culpepper; her grandchildren, Trenton Gunter, Jaylan Ware, Serenity Harris, Sincere Harris, and A'Rhiyah Culpepper. She is also survived by one niece, Dejza Evans; one nephew, Elijah Jayce Culpepper-Young; her brother-in-law, Reverend Johnny Stone; her best friend, Earnestine Copeland; her devoted caregiver, Wendy Campbell; a host of loving cousins, and childhood friends including Debra Crawley and Sharon Brown. Ronnie loved and gave her all to everyone she knew and loved.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, June 6, 2025, at Davis-Turner Funeral Service. Service of comfort rendered by Davis-Turner Funeral Service.
