IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Valencia
Walthall
December 10, 1960 – April 9, 2021
Valencia I. Jackson- Walthall "Little Bit" departed this life on Friday, April 9, 2021 at her home in Lynchburg, Va. She was born on December 10, 1960 to the late Joe Louis Jackson, Sr. and Ruby Mae Cardwell- Jackson. She also leaves to cherish her memory a loving step-mother Phyllis Jackson. Valencia is survived by a devoted husband Lewis; three children, Anjanette, Lewis, and Shelisha; three granddaughters, Deja, Khalis, and SiMeria whom she affectionately named "Baby", and one grandson Qua-Vion whom she affectionately named "Handsome"; four sisters and two brothers, Diane Allen (Rodney), Lavoris Ware (Dennis), Everette Jackson (Lynetta), Stacy Jackson, Angela Jackson, all of Lynchburg, Virginia, and Joe Louis Jackson Jr. of Charlotte, North Carolina; six nieces and six nephews, Cerria, Kiana, Alexis, Cameron, Chase, Darial, Dasia, Dangelo, Deshawn, Chrishawna, Juan, and Marcel; a host of great-nieces and great-nephews including Aaron, Khaza, and Armani; several in-laws Mike "Brother", Paul, Wayne, Phyllis, Betty, and Joanne; many special cousins, other relatives, and friends.
Valencia "Little Bit" served as a Certified Nursing Assistant for many years and work at Frances' Flowers for several years after that. She was always such an outspoken and honest person. She made the best macaroni and cheese and deviled eggs. And more than anything else she loved Prince, a little old school music, and cookouts with her family. It's hard to say goodbye to someone who had such a big impact on our lives. It's even harder to lose someone you know and love, to let go of her, and move on. If we keep those good memories in our hearts and minds, we can find comfort that "Little Bit" will always be with us.
A celebration of Valencia's life will be held 1PM Thursday, April 15, 2021 at Davis-Turner Funeral Service with the Rev. Carl B. Hutcherson, Eulogist. Interment will be in the Pilot Mountain Baptist Church Cemetery. COVID precautions will be in place. Please wear a mask. Service of comfort rendered by Davis-Turner Funeral Service.
