IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Theresa Trudy
Ford
June 11, 1960 – October 3, 2021
Our family chain is broken, and nothing seems the same, but as GOD calls US one by one, the chain will link again. Our Beloved Resa has gone from Faith to Glory.
Theresa Trudy Ford "Resa" of Amherst, Virginia entered into eternal rest on Sunday, October 04, 2021, at Lynchburg General Hospital with her family by her side. God saw that she was getting weary, so He did what He knew best as Resa said, "Precious Lord take my hand lead me on let me stand I am tired I am weak I am worn, through night lead me on to the light, take my hand precious Lord lead me home". The Lord stopped by and took Resa's hand.
Theresa was born on June 11, 1960, in Washington, DC. The daughter of Trudy Jean Washington and the late Dennis Ford. Theresa was preceded in death by her father, Dennis; stepfather, Lewis Washington, Sr., Companion, James Jr.; son, James III; two brothers, Gregory Ford and Sandy DeFritez; and one sister, Denise Ford Deese.
Theresa attended school in the District of Columbia and Prince George's County. She worked at various locations as a Leasing Consultant, Assistant Manager and an Administrative Assistant. Resa loved to work on jigsaw puzzles, dance, collect African Art, cook, and can. With the love of family, she truly enjoyed shopping with her cousin Barbara Ann Martin. Resa was baptized at Friendship Church in Washington, DC at an early age, she attended New Jerusalem Baptist Church and many others. As her health started to dwindle, she was assigned a health companion, Rachele Sager, for 6 years. When she moved to the City of Amherst, she formed a relationship to a devoted friend, Levi Miller, she loved cooking with him.
