Thelma Goode Rhodes, 69, of Huddleston, departed her life on June 9, 2017.  She was born May 31, 1948 to the late Ernest and Emma Goode.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by two sisters, Selma Goode and Rev. Jenni Bonds, five brothers, Harold, Roger, Calvin, Willie and Elbryn Goode.

At an early age she joined Poplar Springs Baptist Church, where she was baptized.

Thelma leaves to cherish her precious memories, her husband, Clifton A. Rhodes, Sr.; three sons, Christopher Goode, of Goodview, VA, Ronald Goode (Melissa), of Evington and Clifton A. Rhodes, Jr. (Cutina), of Bedford; one daughter, LaShonda Battle (Eugene), of Huddleston; ten grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren; two brothers, Carl Goode (Dorothy), of Bedford and Elmer Goode (Maxine), Charlotte, NC; one sister, Jean Spinner, of Big Island; three sisters-in-law, Betty Goode, Maxine Goode and Donna Goode and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and special friends.
