Steven Wayne Jones departed this life on Thursday, February 6, 2025, at Lynchburg General Hospital.

He was born in Lynchburg, Virginia on June 10, 1959. He was the son of the late Irvin and Edna Jones. He was preceded in death by his three sisters, Marie Prunty (Joe), Ora Miller (Lloyd), and Edith Scott. He was also preceded in death by his two brothers, Robert Jones and Carroll Jones.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Elaine Jones of 19 years. Three sisters, Avalene Johnson (Robert), Christine Jones both of Lynchburg, and Lillian Fleshman (Tom) of Spout Spring; one brother, Michael Jones of Lynchburg; four sisters-in-law, Reverend Annie Franklin, Huzell Watson (Reverend William Watson), Lestine Anthony (Donnie Anthony), and Maryland Watson all of Lynchburg; brother-in-law, Samuel Bolling(Wanda). Two devoted nephews, Glen Jones, and Charay Trent; two devoted nieces, Louise Trent and Margie Trent; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 15, 2025, at Davis-Turner Funeral Service. Service of comfort rendered by Davis-Turner Funeral Service.
