Sometimes life seems hard to bear full of trouble, sorrow and woe, its then I have to remember, its in the valleys we grow. On Saturday October 13, 2018 Steven Jermaine Coles transitioned from the valley in Burlington NC. Formerly of 245 McWane Circle, Lynchburg, VA, he was born September 27, 1977 the son of Mary C. and Charles L. Jones. He graduated from EC Glass High School in 1995, a big sports player. He accepted the Lord at an early age and lived his life as close as he could by showing his Christ like side. He loved people and always had kind words to say and laughter that make a day. He was preceded in death by an uncle, Larry K "Buzzy" Coles; grandparents, Roy and Frances Jones and Thomas Coles.
He leaves to cherish great memories one daughter, Maranda J. Coles, of Greensboro, NC; his parents, Mary C. and Charles L. Jones; devoted grandmother, Mary "Helen" B. Coles, all of Lynchburg, VA; his brothers, Christopher J. Jones, of Baltimore, MD, Cedric L. Jones, of Lynchburg, VA, Charles J. Jones, of Bedford, VA and Frank Snead; sisters, Minister Barbara Mays, Madison Heights, VA, Angela Jones, Bedford, VA and Nichole Horsley, of Lynchburg, VA; special friends, Kamika Saunders, Kevin, Keshaun, Annyah Saunders, Melanie Hall, Danny Coles, Steven and Michael Donnigan, all of Lynchburg; uncles and aunts, Thomas and Diane Coles, of Roanoke, VA, Kirkland, Sr., Kecia Jones, Barbara Andrews, all of Lynchburg, VA, Sheila Coles, Bedford, VA also other uncles and aunts; special nieces, Karma Jones, Kearia Jones and Lekeisha Coles, all of Lynchburg and many many other cousins friends and relatives too numerous mention.
