In the early morning of Sunday, December 26,2021, Stephen Vincent Massie "Vince" was called home to be with the Most-High at the age of 54.

He was born on July 27, 1967, in Lynchburg, Virginia to the late Helen Massie. He was raised by the late Aaron and Kathleen Massie, his grandparents. On May 20,1992 he was united in marriage to Raamonda Massie, his beautiful, faithful, loving best friend, and sweetheart of 37 years married 29 of those years. To this union, two children were born. He is survived by his wife (Raamonda); two beautiful and loving daughters Mariah A. Massie and Makyla A. Massie of Maryland; one loving granddaughter Zara Dyer.

Vince graduated from Amherst County High School in Amherst, Virginia. He received a basketball Hall of Fame Award in 2019. He furthered his education at Concord College in Athens, West Virginia with a BA Degree in Travel Industry Management. Vince was a well-known basketball player from early childhood through college and received many athletic awards throughout the years.

Vince gave his life to Christ at an early age and was a very spiritual and religious person. He lived his life as an honest, comical, and dedicated loving family man. He was a father figure to many and touched so many hearts and will be forever missed.

Vince is survived by five sisters Mary (Roger) Cardwell of Kentucky; Kimberly (Keith) Rucker; Marie Massie of Madison Heights; Renee Massie and Latrice Massie of Lynchburg; one brother Larry Massie (Desne) of Alabama; Father William Thomas "John" of Madison Heights; two half -sisters Tammy & Karen Thomas of Richmond; two Aunt's, one special to his heart Laura Lee (Clarence) Johnson; Margaret (Ralph) Harris, and a host of sister-in laws, brother-in laws; nieces and nephews; family and friends.

A homegoing celebration will be held 1PM Friday, December 31, 2021, at Davis-Turner Funeral Service with the Rev. Ed Hendricks, Eulogist. Interment will be at the Mt. Sinai Baptist Church Cemetery.
