Shirley Mae Wilson departed this life on Jan. 27, 2018 at Lynchburg General Hospital with her family by her side and she was born April 28, 1933. Shirley was married to the late James R. Wilson and she is survived by seven daughters, Katie Wilson, Evangelette (Samuel) Pannell, Sharon Wilson, Tammy (Irvin) Word, Stacey (Nathan) Brown, Anissa Wilson and Teree (Ronald) Hamlette all of Lynchburg, VA;  she is also survived by thirteen grandchildren and seven great-grand children. She was employed at Centra Health where she retired in 1996.  She was a longtime member of Bountiful Blessings COGIC where she faithfully attended until her health diminished. A celebration of life will be held Wednesday Jan.31, 2018 at 12 noon at Bountiful Blessing COGIC, Lynchburg, with Rev. I.L. Ward, officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Hills Cemetery.
