Sherwood V. Braxton went to be with Lord on Sunday, May 08, 2022. He was born on June 14, 1958, in Bedford, Virginia to the late Duval and Bessie Braxton.

Sherwood is survived by his Wife of 41 years, Rosetta Braxton; his Daughter, Shanta Hudson (Brian) of Lynchburg, VA ; 2 step-daughters, Cheryl Scott (William) of Charlotte, NC and Adrienne Gonzalez (Jon) of South Bend, IN; also survived by his sisters, Clara Anthony (Larry) and Barbara Morgan (Donald); his brother, William Braxton; 3 sisters-in-law, Dorothy Burks, Joyce Scott and Avis Jackson; in addition, 5 Grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins; and Special friends, Fred Noell and Neil Johnson.

Sherwood was a hard working man who was employed by Rubatex in Bedford, VA for 16 years. He enjoyed lawn care, hunting, competitive fishing and had a love for being outdoors.

A celebration of life will be held 1:00 PM on Friday, May 13, 2022, at Davis-Turner Funeral Service in Lynchburg, VA with Reverend Payne delivering the eulogy. Family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in the will follow in the Harris/Alexander Family Cemetery in Forest, VA.
