Shelia Antoinette Harris Rathers Parker, 59, of Concord passed away Monday, May 28, 2012 at her residence. She was born March 4, 1953 to the late William Henry Harris and Katheryne Mae Dickey Harris. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Omar King, and two brothers, William and David Harris. Those left to cherish her memories are her husband, Jack Parker of Concord, her children, Kelli Patel, of Chesterfield, VA, Ronald (Candice) Rathers, of Richmond, VA and Tanya Clark, of Louisa, VA; three brothers, Angelo Harris, of Altavista, Michael (Christi) Harris, of Louisa and Richard (Cynthia) Harris, of Lynchburg; sister, Edwina Harris Hamby, of Hendersonville, TN; seven grandchildren, Kianna and Tiffany Clark, Amari King, all of Lynchburg, Alyce, Alexis and Aiden Rathers, of Richmond and Dominic Patel, of Chesterfield; one great-grandchild; devoted friends, Richard (Laura) Harvey, of Concord and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, June 2, 2012 at Pilot Mountain Baptist Church, with Dr. Lanksford Hankins, Sr., officiating. The interment will be in the church cemetery.
