Shaniya L. Hillman received her wings on Friday, September 09, 2022, in Richmond, Virginia. Shaniya was a very loving, affectionate person to everyone. Shaniya loved all children and was willing to help anyone if she could. She was a big fan of the Dallas Cowboys. Shaniya was a member of Galilee Baptist Church, Amherst, Virginia.

Born in Lynchburg, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Shontese Alexander and Kevin (Tiffany) Brown. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, George Hillman, Sr., Leonard & Lucille Craft, Melvin Johnson, and Luella Stone, and her paternal grandmother, Robin Brown. Also preceding her death were her aunt, Tonya Faulkner; four uncles, Jamarius Hillman, Ernest and Thomas Hall, and Pastor Sherman Craft.

She is survived by her three sisters, Diaviante Hillman, Tyera Brown, and Alexis Cardwell, Lynchburg, VA; three brothers, Dehondria Hillman, Tyrese Brown, and Kevin Brown, Jr., Lynchburg, VA.

She leaves to cherish her memory maternal grandparents, Deborah & Reverend Merideth Tinsley, Amherst, VA, Sharon Hillman, Rustburg, VA and great-grandmother, Delois Johnson, Chatham, VA; two aunts, Sonya Hillman, Greensboro, NC, and Shauna Brown, Lynchburg, VA; three great-aunts, Shevonne Johnson, Lynchburg, VA, Betty Craft, New Rochelle, New York, and Viola Craft, Hurt, VA; six uncles, George Hillman, Jr. (Rachelle) and Troy Kelso (Stacey), Lynchburg, VA, Jarius Hillman, Mechanicsville, VA, Jaylon & Stanford Hillman, Rustburg, VA, and Monroe Kelso, Winston Salem, NC; two great-uncles, Reverend Scottie Craft, Lynchburg, VA, and Ray Craft, Clearwater, Florida; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
