On Friday, April 25, 2008 Sergeant Kenneth Alan Nellums, Sr. passed onto his eternal resting place. Kenneth was the husband of Rhonda Reid Nellums. He was preceded in death by his father Emanuel Alexander Nellums and his grandmother Geraldine Jones.
Kenneth graduated from Amherst County High in 1987, and had an impressive military career for 10 yrs with the U.S. Army National Guard Reserve. In addition to his wife, Rhonda, he leaves to share fond memories, two sons Kenneth, Jr. and Rashaad; a daughter, Chiquita; a stepson Dalanta Cardwell; his mother and step father, Shirley and Robert Johnson, Jr.; two brothers, Harold (Nickie) Nellums and Robert (Latasha) Johnson, Jr.; a stepsister, Alesha Cardwell; grandfather, Thomas Jones; one great great great unlce, Lorenzo Calloway; in-laws, aunts, uncles, cousins and numerous others relatives and friends.
A funeral service will be held 11:00 am Friday, May 2, 2008 at Davis-Turner Funeral Service with Rev. Edward Jones, Sr. officiating. The interment will be in First Baptist Church, Goode Bedford.
