Sally Haynes Cabell departed this life on Saturday, October 1, 2016 at Guggenheimer Nursing Home. She was born October 29, 1932, to the late Hal and Nannie Haynes, Sr. and was married for 40 years to the late Perry Cabell, Sr. She is preceded in death by three brothers, Thomas, Preston and Claude Haynes; two sisters-in-law and four brothers-in-law.
She joined Piney Hill Baptist Church at an early age and later joined Bolling Hill Baptist Church.
She is survived by her loving children, Perry (Maxine), Bernard (Barbara), Roger Cabell, Deborah (Victor) Rose all of Madison Heights and Harry (Michelle) Cabell, of Lynchburg; thirteen grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; one brother, Hal (Priscilla) Haynes, of Madison Heights; two sisters, Emma Smith, of Lynchburg and Nannie Massie, of Suffolk; five sisters-in-law, three brothers-in-law and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. The family would like to give a very special thank you to Dr. Oldham, Guggenheimer Nursing Home, Centra Hospice of Lynchburg, Grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family and friends.
A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Friday, October 7, 2016 at Bolling Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Edward Jones, Sr., officiating. Interment will be at the church cemetery.
