Sadie Virginia Braxton "Julia", of Amherst departed this life Thursday, September 4, 2008 at Fairmont Crossing Nursing Center, Amherst. She was born to the late Macey Braxton on March 26, 1915 in Amherst County. Those left to cherish her memory are, one sister, Alice Lewis Taylor, of Arrington; a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, September 9, 2008 at New Jerusalem Baptist Church, with Rev. Rodney Sandidge officiating. The interment will be in the church cemetery.
