On Tuesday, January 3, 2012 Russell L. Wright, 46 of Lynchburg, VA
was called from labor to reward. He was born in Lynchburg, Virginia on March 18, 1965 son of Abdul H. Shakir and the Late Phyllis Moore Wright Shakir.
Russell was preceded in death by his mother Phyllis Shakir; his brother Farrakhan A. Wright; his Maternal and Paternal Grandparents.
Russell's memory will forever be cherished by his father Abdul H. Shakir of Lynchburg, Va.; one sister Naquetta J. Wright of Washington, D.C.; one son Kameron T. Wright of the U.S. Army; one nephew Malik R. Wright, Lynchburg, Va.; two nieces Taliah and Samaiyah Murray of Washington, D.C.; three aunts Nancy Moore of Baltimore, MD; Gloria Wright of Lynchburg, Va., Mary "Tiny" Moore of Va.; six uncles Hugh Moore (Nannie) of Concord, Va.; Allen Wright of Tustin, CA; James Wright, Sr., Hugh Wright, Sr.(Connie), Richard Wright (Jirleen), Jerome Wright, Sr., (Phyllis) all of Lynchburg, Va.; numerous devoted cousins and a host of friends.

A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, January 8, 2011 at Davis-Turner Funeral Service with Rev. Edward Jones, Sr. officiating. The interment will be in the Forest Hill Burial Park.
