Ruby Pennix, 83, affectionately known as, "Aunt Ruby", passed away Sunday, August 22, 2021 at Lynchburg General Hospital. She was born on July 12, 1938, to the late Charles Ross and Julia Ward Ross.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Mr. Ronald Pennix and five sisters, Dorothy R. Eaton, Marie R. Howard, Lillian R. Trayham, Delores C. Cardwell and Julia R. McDuffie.

Those left to cherish Aunt Ruby's memories are two extended family members that were like sisters, Mrs. LuVenia H. Bowman and Mrs. Ernestine French both of Lynchburg; one brother, Mr. Charles Ross, Jr. of Bridgeport, CT; a dedicated brother-in-law, John Trayham, Sr.; two devoted nieces, Mrs. Dorothy Bradley (Tommas); Latonia Ayala (Darryl); nephew, John Trayham, Jr. (Melinda) and a host of other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She was a graduate of Dunbar High School and worked as a server for Virginia Baptist Hospital. Aunt Ruby will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.

A memorial service will be held 1PM Saturday August 28, 2021, at Davis-Turner Funeral Service with the Rev. Dr. Carl B. Hutcherson, Eulogist. Service of comfort rendered by Davis-Turner Funeral Service.
