On Saturday, April 29, 2017, Rubby L. Lee went on to be with the Lord. Rubby Lee Brown was the son of the late Dandridge Brown and Elizabeth Jones Brown. He was preceded in death by brothers; William Percy, Carrington Clarence Brown, and a sister, Dorothy Brown.
Rubby worked as a machinist at Griffin Pipe. There he served for 28 years until his retirement. In his spare time he enjoyed working on cars, riding motorcycles, and spending time with his family and friends.
He leaves to cherish his loving memories, Oglessa (Susie) Brown; his children, Donetia Brown (Lynchburg, VA); Ruben Brown (Buffalo, NY); Cornell Brown (Blacksburg VA); Angela Brown (Fairfax, VA); Gloria Denise Coyle ( Madison Heights, VA); a devoted niece whom he considered a sister, Jean Kyle,; a loving relationship with the Jones siblings, whom all preceded him in death,; a host of other nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Friday, April 5, 2017 at St. Mary's Baptist Church with Pastor, Rev. Troy Anderson, officiating. The interment will be in the church cemetery.
