Our Heavenly Father called Roy "Lit" Larry home on December 24, 2006. He retired from Continental Homes after many years of service. Roy is preceded in Heaven by his mother Kate White Larry, father Isaiah Larry, and three brothers Ed Larry, Claude Larry and Lloyd Larry and one granddaughter Jacqueline Larry. Left to rejoice in his memory is a loving devoted wife Pearlie Mae Johnson Larry of 70 years. Eleven loving children: Joyce Meadows, Roy (Sue) Larry Jr., Buford (Emma) Larry, James Larry, Susie (Walter, Jr.) Delaney, Shirley (Gene) Minor, Delois Pennix, Linda (Basil) Mays, Debra (Erskine) Jones, Jerry (Alicia) Larry, and Phillip Larry, 26 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. The family would like to extend their deepest appreciation to the MSICU nurses at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital for taking such loving care of Roy Larry and the family. Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Friday, December 29, 2006 at Maple Street Baptist church, with Rev. Charles Calloway officiating.
