Rosetta Edwards, 83, departed this life into the loving arms of our heavenly father on February 14, 2023. Rosetta was a woman of faith who loved the Lord and understood his love for her. She was predeceased by her son, Gary James Edwards; granddaughter, Shante Hendrix; mother, Lucille Jones; father, Eugene Cheatham; sisters, Laverne Jones and Lillie Mae Glover; and brothers, James Jones and Kenneth Jones. Left to cherish her memories are her children, Sherman Edwards, Debbie Brown (Anthony), Patricia Hendrix, Steven Edwards (Kina), and Tracy Garland (Leo); her brother, Lawrence Jones; sister, Barbara Jones; and a devoted niece, Serena Jones. Rosetta was a beloved grandmother to over 30 grand and great-grandchildren and a loving aunt to a host of nieces and nephews. She was a lifelong resident of Lynchburg, Virginia, and spent her whole life living and working here in the hometown that she loved.

She lived a full life on earth as a beautiful, independent, and caring individual who cherished her friends at Hillcrest, where she lived for over 27 years.

Most of all she loved her family and friends and instilled good values in her children and grandchildren that have served them well. She will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.

A homegoing celebration will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, February 18, 2023, at Davis-Turner Funeral Service. Mrs. Edwards will be on view one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Forest Hill Burial Park. Service of comfort rendered by Davis-Turner Funeral Service.
