Rosa Johnson Brown, of Amherst VA answered the call of her Lord and departed this earthly life and her soul took flight and joined the heavenly Angels on Saturday, March 23, 2024, at Lynchburg General Hospital. She was born August 15, 1939, to the late Sidney and Daisy Christian Johnson.

Rosa accepted Christ as her Savior at an early age and joined the First Baptist Church Coolwell, where she remained a faithful member and served as a Deaconess for many years.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by six brothers, Ernest Christian, Dewey, Early, Woody, Thomas, and Robert Johnson; two sisters, Carrie Clark, and Nancy Johnson; and one great-granddaughter, Malayshia Solomon. She leaves to cherish her memory one daughter, Shelia Brown; three sons, Melvin (Kimberly), Jeffrey (Michelle), and Rodney Brown; one sister, Daisy Jones; three sisters-in-law, Dorothy Johnson, Mary Johnson, and Eva Johnson; eleven grandchildren, Andre, Danielle, Damien, Katrina, Andrea, Renard, Jasmine, Krystal, Brittney, Catlin, and Paris; nineteen great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

A celebration of life will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, March 29, 2024, at First Baptist Church Coolwell. Interment will be in Briarwood Memorial Gardens. Service of comfort rendered by Davis-Turner Funeral Service.
