Mr. Rodney Larry was born August 31, 1941 in Boones Mills, VA to the late Roy Larry, Sr. and Pearlie Mae Larry.  He was preceded in death by sister, Susie Delaney; brother-in-law, Erskine Jones; niece, Kimberly Mays Harrington and nephew Rickey Delaney.

He was a proud member of Maple Street Baptist Church Male Chorus and served on the deacon and Trustee Ministries, one of the first members of the Maple Street Baptist Church Male Chorus and Senior Choir.

He leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife, Emma Larry, of 60 years; son, Ronald (Wanda) Larry, of Roanoke; daughter, Katherine (Christopher), of Danville and Sherry (Johnny) Casey, of Roanoke; five grandchildren, Marquia Hairston( Stafford) Hairston, of Roanoke, Tierra Lindsey, Terrell Whiteside, of Durham, NC, Anthony Andrews, of Roanoke, Jana Casey, GA and Bridgett Holland, of Roanoke; five great grandchildren, Braniya Lindsey, Kyle Hairston, Terrell Whiteside, Jr., Kira Hairston and Tamara Whiteside;  five sisters, Joyce Meadows (Raymond), OH, Delores Pennix, of Manassas, VA, Shirley Minor (Gene), of Roanoke, Linda Mays (Basil Sr.), of Roanoke and Debra Jones, of Roanoke; four brothers, Roy Larry, Jr. (Sue), of TX, James Larry (Geraldine), of Roanoke, Jerry Larry (Lisa),of Texas and Anthony Larry, of Roanoke; brother-in-law, Walter Delaney, of Roanoke brother-in- law Clarence Tuning(Martha) of Rocky Mount  VA,  sister- in-law Rosetta Tilman of GA, and a host of other relatives and friends.

A funeral service will be held 12:00 noon Saturday, December 21, 2019 at Maple Street Baptist Church with Rev.
