Robert "Simon" Steward, of Madison Heights, passed away Monday, July 11, 2016 at his residence. He was born on January 16, 1936 to the late Robert Steward and Eliza Faggins Steward.
Simon was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Ann Steward; his son, Marvis Anthony Steward; one brother, Russell Steward and three sisters, Elizabeth Steward, Frances Hite and Addie Moore.
He leaves to cherish his memories one son, Byron Steward and daughter-in-law Cynthia Steward of Lynchburg; one brother, Royster Steward, of Petersburg; one sister, Ivory Steward; two grandchildren, Cynthia Spinner and Shawnee Osborne and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 16, 2016 at
Davis-Turner Funeral Service with Rev. Bertram L. Davis, officiating and Rev.
Gary Moore, as Eulogist. The burial will be in Forest Hill Burial Park. The family
will receive friends on Friday from 4-8 Pm at 312 Keywood Dr. Lynchburg. Condolences
