On Friday, October 26, 2012, Renny Lee Johnson departed his life at MCV in Richmond, VA. Renny was an avid music lover and collector. He took great pride in making CD's for family and friends. Antique cars and trucks were also his passion…and we can't leave out the Pittsburgh Steelers. He was formally educated in the Lynchburg Public School system and was a graduate of E.C. Glass High School.
Renny was born January 3, 1960 in Lynchburg, VA, to the late Wesley Johnson and the late Edna Jones Lewis. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister; Brenda Calloway and three brothers; Felix Lewis, Flemming Lewis, III, and James Lewis.
Leaving behind to miss him and cherish his memory are his loving and devoted fiancée, Dierdre B. Glover; one son, Demetrio Perkins (Tamika) of Lynchburg, VA; three daughters, Tomika Johnson of Tacoma, Washington, Tishanna Johnson of Norfolk, VA, Cierra Franklin of Lynchburg, VA, and four grandchildren. Renny is also survived by three sisters; Sarah Alexander (James) of St. Albans, NY, Leslie Briggs (Lawrence) of Concord, NC, and Maureen Johnson of Virginia Beach, VA; seven brothers; Norvell P. Lewis (Clarice) of Madison Heights, VA, Walter E. Lewis, Sr. of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Carl M. Lewis (Brenda) of Lynchburg, VA, Gerald Lewis, Ronald Lewis, Donald Lewis all of Roanoke, VA, Joe Lewis of Madison Heights, VA, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
