Reginald Henry Tyler, passed away at his home in Lynchburg, Virginia on April 05, 2019. Reginald was preceded in death by three brothers, James Powell, Carroll Tyler, and Ronald Tyler and survived by Linwood Tyler (Mila) of Commerce Township Michigan, and sister Monica Tyler of Lynchburg, VA. He was a member of White Rock Baptist Church and attended Court Street Baptist Church.
He was born on December 12, 1938 in Lynchburg, Virginia to the late Elizabeth Wright. He lived in Lynchburg most all his life and leaves to mourn three daughters, Carella Anderson (Gary) of Monroe, VA, Regina Tyler of Lynchburg, VA and Lerissa Wilson of Rineyville, KY; he had seven grandchildren, Nakisha Thomas (Terry), Sharhonda Hubert (Dex), Shannon Tyler, Tianna Tyler, Marcus Wilson, Courtney Wilson and LaTasha Wilson and fourteen great grandchildren. He also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, other loving relatives and dear friends.
Reginald had many achievements during his life including serving as a Food Service Specialist in the U.S Army for many years and received a honorable discharge. He later worked for Babcock and Wilcox for over 25 years.
A memorial service will be held 2:00 PM Friday, April 12, 2019 at Davis-Turner Funeral Service with Rev. Edward Jones, officiating. Service of comfort rendered by Davis-Turner Funeral Service.
