Rechell Lynn Rose, 54, peacefully entered eternal rest on December 1, 2025, at the University of Virginia Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.
Rechell accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at St. Peter's Baptist Church in Amherst, Va. She attended Amherst County High School and had a deep, unconditional love for her children and any child in need of care and affection. She cherished spending time with her children and grandchildren, bringing joy and laughter to those around her. Known for her vibrant personality, Rechell had a love for bright colors and a special fondness for elephants.
She was preceded in death by her parents, O'Neil and Jeanette Rose, as well as her three brothers: Percy Rose, O'Neil Rose, Jr., and Haywood Rose.
Rechell's memory lives on through her devoted son, Marcus Toliver of Madison Heights, VA, and her devoted daughter, Asia Toliver of Lynchburg, VA. She is also survived by her three sisters: Annie Woodruff (Alvin) of Lynchburg, VA, Dale Sparrow (George, Jr.) of Madison Heights, VA, and Pamela Monroe of Monroe, VA. Her legacy continues through her beloved grandchildren: Bryson Haywood, Breylon Terrelle, Nolan Tobias, Zaedan, Antonio, A'Lanii, Catrel, Elijah, Jada, Calyce, Camden, Morgan, and De'Jour, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
A homegoing celebration will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at St. Peter's Baptist Church. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Service of comfort rendered by Davis-Turner Funeral Service.
