On January 27, 2022, Phyllis was awarded her heavenly wings as she slipped into eternal rest.

On February 04, 1939, Phyllis was born to the late Walter and Mary Duke Jones in Campbell County, VA. She was the youngest of 18 children. Besides her parents, all siblings predeceased her.

Phyllis left Virginia at an early age and made a good life in Brooklyn, NY where she met and married the late Rev. Joseph Anderson. She leaves to mourn, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends.

The family would like to thank all the caretakers that were with her during her sickness.

A graveside service will be held 3PM Saturday, February 12, 2022, at the New Vine Baptist Church Cemetery. Service of comfort rendered by Davis-Turner Funeral Service.
