Percy "Jr" Wesley Kidd, Jr.

Percy "Jr" Wesley Kidd, Jr., 58, of Spout Spring, peacefully accepted The Lord's call to be rewarded from labor unto rest on Tuesday, March 10, 2015. Born in Appomattox County on April 7, 1956, he was the son of the late Percy Wesley Kidd, Sr. and Mattie Robinson Kidd.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Ruby Lonell; his daughter, Sherrie Kidd; step-son, Anthony Jones; step-daughter, Casey Brent; grandchildren, Kelsey and Tyler Kidd; brothers and sisters, Martha (Raymond) Pankey; Marion Kelso; Obediah (Lois) McCoy; Mable Kidd (Richard); Doreatha (Leroy) Woolridge; Beverly Kidd (Michael); Lucille (Eddie) Ferguson; Merry (Edwin) Bassett; Mattie (Richard) Hamlett; and Linda (Terry) Johnson; mother-in-law, Virginia Megginson.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Phyllis Dunson, Lois Scruggs, Peggy Hannah and Lorraine Kidd.
A Celebration of Life will be held 1pm, Friday, March 13, 2015, at Mt. Airy Baptist Church, 167 Coleman's Mill Road, Gladstone. Pastor Tony Cousins, Officiating; Pastor Michael W. Reid, Jr., Eulogist. The family will receive friends from 7-8pm on Thursday, March 12, 2015 at Davis-Turner Funeral Home and Crematory, 1016 Rivermont Avenue, Lynchburg, VA.
