Peggy L. Johnson, of Nelson County, died October 12, 2017, at Lynchburg General. She was born June 17, 1954, in Lynchburg. The daughter of the late Sallie C. Harris and Clinton Morris.  She is preceded in death by one brother Allen Wright Sr.  At an early age she joined Second Mineral Springs Baptist Church and was a devoted and faithful member until she departed.

Peggy leaves behind to cherish in her memory her devoted husband of 43 years, Otis D. Johnson, Sr.; two loving children, Otis D. Johnson Jr. of Gladstone VA, Priscilla Revely (Cj), of Lynchburg VA; two grandchildren, Cameron Revely and Jamia Caldwell of Lynchburg VA; one sister, Gladys Glover (Paul), of Gladstone, VA; one sister-in-law, Linda Ferguson (Reggie), of Madison Heights VA; one brother-in-law, James Johnson (Keisha), of Lynchburg VA; one uncle, Warren Revely (Nancy), of Gladstone VA and a host of nieces, nephews and other family and friends.

A special bond that span the years through laughter, worry, smiles and tears, a sense of trust that can't be broken, a depth of love sometimes unspoken. A lifelong friendship built on sharing, hugs, kisses, warmth and caring; a link that can't be undone with Faye, Leslie, Dooley, LaShaunda, Shamecka and Mariah Lewis.

A funeral service will be held 1:00 PM Tuesday, October 16, 2017 at Second Mineral Springs Baptist Church, Gladstone with Rev. James Hagar officiating. The interment will be in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends Monday from 7-8:00 PM at Davis-Turner Funeral Service.  Service of comfort rendered by Davis-Turner Funeral Service.
