Pauline Octavia Jones departed this life January 8th, 2025, at Fairmont Crossing Rehabilitation Center. She was born in Amherst County on July 20th, 1956, to the late Colonel William and Edith Page Jones. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Robert, Norman, Billy, Frank, and Larry Jones.

Pauline leaves to cherish her memories her son, Cortez Jones (Jessica Thompson); daughter, Jasmine Davis; and significant other, Dennis Davis all of Lynchburg, Virginia. Seven grandchildren, Jazaihya Diggs, Aniyiah Davis, Imani' (Mani) Watts, Ameria Davis, Jahryan Davis, and Journi Calloway. Four brothers, James 'Wammie' (Phyllis Penn), Samuel (Jessie) both of Amherst, Virginia, Earl (Lisa), and Colonel William 'June' (Starlet) both of Maryland. Six sisters, Betty Blair (Paul) of Maryland, Annie Moss of Amherst, Mary Rucker (Aaron) of Evington, Virginia, Grenda 'Gwen' Wilkes of Lynchburg, Virginia, Alberta Sandidge (Mike), and Shirley Collins (Paul) both of Amherst, Virginia. Two aunts, Mary Burress (Lloyd) of Palmyra, Virginia and Marjorie Morse of Charlottesville, Virginia. Two sisters-in-law, Elsie Jones-Smith and Rejeana Jones. Best friend since grade school, Deborah Mabry of Maryland; and a host of Nieces, Nephews, Relatives, & Friends.

Pauline was blessed with many good and best friends too many to name she affectionately called you (baby); she would always invite you to come and sit with her on her porch which she loved dearly. On Sundays, after church, she loved to sit in her car with her favorite sister/best friend, Gwen and they laughed and talked for hours. Pauline loved to build and do carpentry with Anaiyah, AJ, and Mari.

A homegoing celebration will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, January 17, 2025, at First Baptist Church, Coolwell. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Service of comfort rendered by Davis-Turner Funeral Service.
