Paul W. Douglas, 70, of 151 Cabell Lane, Amherst passed Tuesday, February 27, 2007 at Lynchburg General Hospital. He was born to the late Willie Henderson on August 15, 1936 in Amherst Co. Paul retired from Griffin Pipe and was a member of Piney Grove Baptist Church. Paul was preceded in death by one son, Wallace A. Douglas. He leaves to cherish his memories his loving wife of 38 years, Jan B. Douglas, of Amherst; three sons, Paul W. Douglas, Jr, Michael Jones, of Richmond and Henry Jones, of Amherst; one daughter, Nancy (Greg) Megginson, of Concord; one brother, Jimmy Henderson, Chesterfield, PA; two aunts, Odell Smith, of Amherst and Geraldine Morris and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
Funeral Service will be held 2:00 pm Saturday, March 3, 2007 at Piney Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Charles Lewis officiating. Interment will be in the Christian Aid Cemetery, Amherst. The family will receive friends Friday from 7-8 at Davis-Turner Funeral Chapel and other times at the residence of Nancy Megginson 750 Lyle Thomas Rd. Concord.
