Pamela Theresa Dixon Claxton of Amherst, VA soul took flight and entered into Heaven and embraced her savior on Friday, August 2, 2024, at Lynchburg General Hospital, Lynchburg, VA. She was born on January 19, 1965, to the late Leroy Dixon and Barabara Reid Dixon. In addition to her father, Pam was preceded in death by her grandparents, John and Polly Dixon and John and Alice Reid; two grandchildren, twins, Lincoln and Landon Claxton; and her mother-in-law, Mable Claxton Cobbs.

Pam accepted Christ at an early age and joined First Baptist Church Coolwell. She was educated in the Amherst County School System, and was employed at Central Virginia Training Center for, 15 years.

Pam leaves beautiful memories to cherish by her loving and devoted husband of 29 years, Boris Claxton; her devoted mother, Barbara Reid Dixon; two sons, Lamar (Samantha) and Carlos (Jayla); one daughter, Justis (Darius); five grandsons, Lamar Jr., Jackson, Bryson, Kyrie, and Levi; one granddaughter, Laila; one sister, Maxine (Perry) Cabell; one brother-in-law, George Claxton; a devoted sister-in-law, Bernita Graves; one aunt, Joan (Silas) McDaniel; four additional aunts-in-law; two devoted cousins, Cheryl Reid and Beverley (Robert) Cabell; a devoted friend, Alberta Sandidge; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

A homegoing celebration will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, August 12, 2024, at First Baptist Church Coolwell. Interment will be in the McDaniel Family Cemetery. Service of comfort rendered by Davis-Turner-Funeral Service.
