Olethia Jenkins Roberson passed away Saturday, April 16, 2022. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Lizzie Jenkins.

Olethia was born in Westminster, South Carolina on October 24, 1921. She lived a short time in Rustburg, VA after which she made a life in Richmond, Indiana for over 17 years. In 1978, she made her way back to Rustburg, VA where she lived for 44 years. She was a devoted member of the Church of Christ in Roanoke, VA until she could no longer attend due to her health.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Irving Hogue; her husband, Ferd Roberson, Jr.; four brothers, Waymon Jenkins, Naman Jenkins, A.L. Jenkins, Sr. and Earnest Jenkins, Sr.

Olethia is survived by her daughters, Joan Hogue, Mary Fairchild and Laura Roberson-Macklin (Paul); three grandchildren, Greg Fairchild (Tierney), Marla Fairchild and Tametra Hogue; three great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Lelar Bowling and Kerine Anderson.

A graveside service will be held 3:00 PM Sunday, April 24, 2022, at Mount Pisgah C.M.E. Church Cemetery, Evington, VA. Service of comfort rendered by Davis-Turner Funeral Service.
