Norvell Eugene Mays "Buck", of Madison Heights passed away Friday, October 2, 2015 at his residence. He was born April 17, 1962 to Shirley Mays Megginson and the late Elliott Sidney Mays, Sr.
Those left to cherish his memories are his wife, Mammie Mosley Mays, of Madison Heights; daughter, Catina Mosley, of Lynchburg; three brothers, Elliott Sidney Mays, Jr., of Madison Heights, Gary Mays (Wanda), of Amherst and Wallace Mays (Barbara), of Madison Heights; step-brother, Curtis Lee Megginson, Jr., of Concord; six sisters, Dallas Jones, of Atlanta, GA, Freda Mays, of Orlando, FL, Beatrice Ferguson, Polly Ford (Keith), Janet Mays, and Hope Callaham (Donald), all of Lynchburg; step-sister, Elizabeth Wilkins, of Kanas City, MO; three grandchildren; one god-daughter and a host of other relatives and friends.
A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, October 7, 2015 at Scott Zion Baptist Church with Pastor, Rev. Gary Lee, officiating. The interment will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the residence of his sister Beatrice Ferguson, 1504 Wise St. Lynchburg from 4-8:00 PM daily. Service of comfort rendered by Davis-Turner Funeral Service.
