Norman Lee Miller was born in Lynchburg, VA on October 16, 1959, to the late Robert Lee Miller and Alvalaz Miller Anthony of Lynchburg, VA. After a long illness of cancer, Norman transitioned from mortal life to eternal rest on December 04, 2021, at Raleigh Duke Hospital.

As a child, Norman accepted Christ and was baptized at Fifth Street Baptist Church and was educated in Lynchburg Public Schools. Norman is survived by his mother, Alvalaz Miller Anthony; two sisters, Evelyn M. Anthony and Lisa A. Bond (Michael); a brother, Robert Lee Miller (Johnnie); two half-sisters, Donna Trusty (William) and Rosa Chasten (William); and two half-brothers, Larry Miller (Tasha) and James E. Hunter (Twindalyn).

Norman had seven children: Natharcia Peoples McWoodson, Aaron Thorpe, Norman Miller, III, Ashley (Nikki) Johnson, Fred Lambo Miller, Porche Miller and Jada Cabell; a host of grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

The family would like to thank Liz Jackson, a very special friend, for her love and dedication to Norman during his battle with cancer.

Norman, known to everyone as "Puddy" loved to cook, his favorite football team was the Dallas Cowboys, he loved the Lord, and he loved spending time with his family. Whenever he was around there were always jokes flying. He loved to laugh, he had a passion for fashion, and he was always there to give an ear to a friend in need.

A homegoing celebration will be held 2PM Saturday, December 11, 2021, at Fifth Street Baptist Church with Rev. Stuart Jones, Officiating and the Rev. Joe Dillard, Eulogist. The family will receive family and friends Friday, December 10, 2021 from 6-7PM at Davis-Turner Funeral Service. Interment will be in the Baptist Cemetery.
