Nellie Ernestine Jackson departed this life Wednesday, June 6, 2012 at Lynchburg General Hospital. Born in Lynchburg, VA she was the daughter of the late William N. Jackson and Nellie Harris Jackson. She was also preceded by husband, Danzier Collins; brothers, William 'Bill", Sylvester "Vest", Thornhill "Coney" and Thomas "Bump".
She leaves to cherish her fond memories, daughters, Adrienne, Robin (Steve), Tammi (Darrell), Misty and Movita (Pau); one son Devontae; eight grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; her only sister, Loretta Smith; sister-in-law, Virginia Jackson; cousin, Mary Smith; special friend, Loretta Preston and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A funeral service will be held 1:00 PM Monday, June 11, 2012 at Wingfield Baptist Church with Rev. Stacey Younger, officiating. The interment will be in the Forest Hill Burial Park.
