Nancy Jane Morgan Long transitioned into eternal rest on July 14, 2026, at UVA Medical Center. She was born to Willie Ann and Richard Morgan, III on June 15, 1963, the youngest of six children.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Tony Long; her parents, Willie Ann and Richard Morgan, III; brother, Earl Morgan; and a nephew, Momoh Thullah.
Her love and her memories will always remain in the hearts of her children, Erica Hundley (Duane), Garland (TC) Clark (Emily), and Michelle Jones. Nancy is also survived by the apple of her eye, her grandchildren, Tristan Smith, Paisley Hundley, and Alana Williams; and one great-grandchild, Zayden. She is also survived by one brother, Richard Morgan, IV; three sisters, Patricia Thullah (James), Laverne and Juanita Morgan; 4 stepchildren, Gerald Mitchell (Shanika), Joshua Henning, Sr. (Yolanda), Tony L. Sherer (Ebaney), and Toni L. Sherer (Antwan); two sisters-in-law, Jessie Mae Long and Nesa Burris; one brother-in-law, John Long; along with a host of loving family and friends; plus some devoted family/friends: Gwendolyn Franklin, Isabelle George, Sadie Vest, Mary Rose, Sharon Toliver, and Sandra Vaughan.
As a child, Nancy joined St. Mary Baptist Church. Later on in life, she joined St. James Baptist Church with her husband, Tony. Nancy worked in the Hospitality Ministry, and she was a devoted usher until her health started to decline. She worked as a prep cook at Wintergreen and as a Grill Cook at UVA. Her smile met you when you walked through the door. Nancy had a heart of gold, and she will be missed by many. Rest on, Nancy Morgan Long.
A celebration of Nancy's life will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, July 24, 2026, at St. James Baptist Church, Roseland, Virginia. Service of comfort entrusted to Davis-Turner Funeral Service.
