Moses (Bill) Moody, III of Defiance, OH formerly of Lynchburg passed away Tuesday, June15, 2010. Moses was born September 6, 1952 to the late Dr. Moses L. Moody, Jr. and Grace Wynn Moody. Moses was a graduate of Dunbar High School and Defiance College in Defiance, OH with a degree in biology. He worked at Johns-Manulle Corporation. Those left to cherish his memories are his daughter, Star Moody, of Defiance, OH; three stepdaughters, Karen Ferguson, of Columbus, OH, Jaquitta Ferguson and Kenyatta Ferguson; two stepson, Shawn Matthews and Wayne Ferguson; two sisters, Grace Johnson (John) of Columbus, OH and Paula Moody, of Forest VA; two aunts, Louise Myrick, of Petersburg, VA and Virginia Coleman, of New York; four grandchildren, Imani, Jasmine, Makayla and Makyla; three nieces, Heather Campenelli (Leonard) of Columbus, OH, Candace Johnson-Hardy (Torrey) of Arizona and Colleen Leday (Isaac) of Atlanta, GA; two nephews, Brandon Johnson, of Columbus, OH and Raymond Fowler, Jr. of Lynchburg and a host of other relatives and friends.
A funeral service will be held 1:00 PM June 22, 2010 at Eight Street Baptist Church with Rev. Keith Anderson, Pastor officiating and Rev. C.B. Hutcherson, as Eulogist. The interment will be in Forest Hill Burial Park. The family will receive one hour prior to the funeral service and other times at the residence of Paula Moody.
