Mildred Taylor Carter was born on September 07, 1932 in Amherst County, VA to the late Percy Taylor, Sr. and Thelma Jackson Taylor. She departed this life on November 21, 2020 at her residence.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman Carter, three brothers; Charlie Taylor, Payton Taylor, and George Taylor, and three sisters; Margaret Coles, Christine Smith, and Nannie Lynn Ross.

Mildred is survived by a brother; Percy Taylor, Jr. (Kathleen); nephews, Peyton Taylor (Veronica) and Carey Taylor (Anne); and a host of other loving relatives and friends.

She loved listening to gospel music, especially, Pastor Fletcher Hubbard.

A funeral service will be conducted 11AM Saturday November 28, 2020 at Davis-Turner Funeral Service with the Rev. Rodney Harris, Officiating. All COVID guidelines will be followed.
