Michael Leon McDaniel, 49 of 147 A Newington Dr. Amherst, entered into eternal rest on December 18, 2006 at Lynchburg General Hospital after a long illness. Michael was born December 2, 1957 in Lynchburg, and was the son of Willie E. and Mary Payne, Sr. and the biological son of the late Alboyd Rose.
In addition to his parents he leaves to cherish his memory four brothers, Willie (Melinda) Payne, Jr., Kevin Payne, Cory (Lakeisha) Payne all of Lynchburg, and Dexter Payne of Amherst; one sister Tracy Payne, of Amherst and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be held 2:00 pm Friday, December 22, 2006 at Morning Star Baptist Church, Amherst with the Rev. Dr. M.D. Mays officiating. The family will receive friends at the home of Mr. & Mrs. Willie E. Payne, Jr. 1042 Ardmore Circle, Lynchburg and the cortege will assemble at the residence of Mr. & Mrs. Willie E.
